"I have always had a problem with leg cramps in the 2nd to 3rd hour of an event depending on intensity. I've been using e-Gel and e-Fuel since January of this year. It is the only thing that I have changed in my training and racing protocol. I did Lavaman olympic distance in Hawaii and never cramped (2nd). I did Wildflower olympic distance in California and never cramped (4th). I've done both of these races a number of times in the past and cramped every time. I haven't cramped on any long runs or rides this year. I know it is a short sample period. The combination and concentration of electrolytes in the Crank products seems to have solved my problem. "I have used your e-gel and e-fuel to enhance my running experience but this story is not about running. My family and I took a trip to Nepal and did the trek into Everest Base Camp. On our fourth day of treking we were at 15,000 feet and got caught in a blizzard. The temperature dropped quickly and the wind was howling. My 9 year old son started having problems. He was getting very cold, even with his storm gear on, and wanted to sleep. If we came close to a large rock he would lay his head down and try to sleep. Carrying him was not an option we wanted to use because he would have gotten colder. We tried to get him to eat some chocolate but he would not take in very much. I finally got him to eat an e-Gel and start drinking some e-Fuel. The recovery was amazing! Within 10 minutes he was talking up a storm and forging on. We were at our camp site an hour later and he was running around playing with some of the village children. I am not sure what we would have done without the e-Gel and e-Fuel. We take it everywhere with us now. " ...

"My husband and I started using e-Gel seven years ago. We had tried everything available in local stores - nothing stood as well as e-Gel for us. We are always giving e-Gel to fellow riders to help when their product has let them down. The overall experience of fellow riders is less bonking and longer ride times. Now for the non-human story. My little West Highland White Terrier, Brodie, attends our rides with us. On a recent return trip Brodie seemed tired and hot as we live in Arizona. Checked with the vet who indicated some type of electrolyte product was needed. With explanation of ingredients and permission from the vet, I put e-Gel in his water bowl, added water and ice. With the help of e-Gels taken at miles 2, 7, 13, 18, and 23, I took 10 minutes off of my marathon time and never hit the 'wall' or cramped as I had done in previous events. Some guy laughed at me at the start asking why I had so many energy gels. I told him I had a plan and I was sticking to it. I'm pretty sure I passed him somewhere around mile 22." ...

"I was introduced to e-Gel by a fellow marathoner after I ran the Madison marathon in May. During the Madison race, as in others, I had problems with dehydration. I know I lose a lot of salt in a long race, but sports drinks don't agree with my stomach. Only being able to drink water, it was simply impossible to get enough electrolytes with other gels. This past weekend I ran a 50-mile ultramarathon, the second year I ran the race. Last year, I also had problems with dehydration and muscle cramping. This year, having used e-Gel in training over the summer, I used e-Gel, and ONLY e-Gel, during the race--13 packets of it--with water. Despite the day being about 15 degrees warmer than last year, I managed my hydration well AND cut over an hour off my time by being able to run 'harder, faster, longer.' I attribute the better hydration to e-Gel. Also, the larger pack size, and greater calorie count, were both assets during a long race." ...

"I started using e-Gel during my training for the Marine Corps Marathon. I had tried (and gave up on) other gels because my stomach couldnt' handle the heavy consistency, and also because they just didn't seem to add very much edge to my performance. A running club friend suggested I give e-Gel a try. Running in the typical East Coast summer heat and humidity this summer, I couldn't help but feel the immediate bounce from e-Gel - for some reason it absorbs faster than anything else I've tried. I decided to buy a box and go with the Crank PR guarantee, and I went through the remainder of my training season with e-Gel. During that time I easily PR's a half-marathon and saw training times steadily improving. My run at the Marine Corps Marathon went very well, and I did PR, so I won't be getting the free box of e-Gel. "I try to bike pretty hard for an hour or longer each morning. By the time I'm finished my clothes stick to me and I feel both drained and exhilarated. I've tried sampling almost every sport drink I can buy in Portland and I think e-Fuel is the best. It's not overly sweet, seems to do a good job replenishing what I've lost, and doesn't make my blood sugar spike." ...

"I'm not one to typically use these type of supplements but the weather made me nervous about bonking. With e-Fuel, I never got that empty feeling. My energy was consistent throughout my workout. The taste was fine, not overpowering in any way. And I didn't experience any nausea or gi problems that often accompany these type of products." ...

"For 3 1/2 years I was searching for a hydrating-electrolyte drink for Ironman. I've tried Gatorade and that drink works fine on the bike, but it kills my stomach on the run. I've tried GU's drink, but it's tends to clump in the bottle. I've tried other drinks, but nothing seemed to work for me because the sugar content was high. A friend referred me to e-Fuel, I placed my first order and I was sold." ...

"Started using e-Fuel to find a way to increase energy output for the fast and aerobically challenging sport of indoor soccer. To my amazement it worked. As a goalkeeper I kept my e-Fuel bottle in the goal and took sips throughout my matches. The result was an incredible and exponential increase in reaction time and leaping ability. At the end of games the opposition are always in awe of my ability to make difficult and incredible saves. I will continue to use e-Fuel because it tastes great, dissolves rapidly and provides an exponential increase in energy for the demanding physical activitiy of indoor soccer." ...

"While competing in the U.S. Paintball League World Championships, our team used e-Fuel. e-Fuel ensured our entire team was fully energized for each match throughout the 3 day event and none of our team members suffered energy highs & lows as we had from other 'energy' drinks and supplements." ...

"When my daughter started playing competive golf last summer, she fought blood sugar crashes that negatively impacted her performance. Sports drinks didn't have much staying power and she hates eating while playing. I found e-Fuel late last summer and she uses it every round now. She's had marathon rounds that I don't know if she could have finished if she didn't have the e-Fuel. Thanks for a great product." ...
