There
are at least three reasons that you should consider becoming a Crank
Sports Authorized Dealer:
- Innovative Products
- Strong Profit Potential
- Product Exclusivity
|
| |
| Innovative
Products |
| Crank
Sports has been producing energy gels and electrolyte hydration drinks
since 2001.
As you examine our products you will see that they are truly innovative
and a class above the competition. All of
our products are designed by endurance athletes and
developed by a team of experts that have been creating new food and
beverage brands for over 20 years. Unlike some of our competitors that
use high sugar levels and low quality inexpensive ingredients, Crank
Sports develops products with one goal in mind - to improve athletic performance. |
| |
| Strong
Profit Potential |
Good
products are great, but dealers need to make money. We understand that
and thus we created a streamlined business model that allows us to offer
high profit opportunities to our dealers that can't be matched by our
competition. With Crank Sports you won't deal with distributors, we deal
direct with all of our authorized dealers.
|
| Product
Exclusivity |
Unlike
our competitors, Crank Sports limits the distribution of e-Gel and
e-Fuel to a select group of specialty retailers. There are currently
more than 20,000 specialty sports retailers in the US, and our products
are in only approximately 500. Our goal is to continue to limit our
retail channel to less than 1,000 authorized dealers. While we do not
provide "exclusive territories", our limited distribution does
guarantee that our dealers have greater exclusivity with our products
than virtually any of our competitor's products.
It is our strong desire to deal with a fewer number of strong partners,
and then work together to drive more business into their stores. For
this reason, Crank Sports does not use distributors, instead we deal
directly with every one of our dealers. By building this relationship we
can help our dealers to leverage e-Gel and e-Fuel as convenience items.
As we build demand for a product that is not available on every corner
in town, we are able to drive more traffic into our retailers.
In keeping with this strategy, we do not authorize Road Runner Sports,
Colorado Cyclist or any of the other large on-line / mail-order
retailers to carry our products. This maintains a higher resale value
for our products and helps to maintain demand for our authorized
dealers.

Qualifications, Rules and Regulations |
- Retail
store-front
All authorized dealers must operate out of a retail store and
maintain an inventory of e-Gel and/or e-Fuel on display. No
mail-order houses, web retailers, home business, etc. will be
authorized to sell Crank Sports' products.
- Restrictions on on-line sales
If you have a web site
that sells products in conjunction with your retail store-front you
must obtain written authorization from Crank Sports if you wish to
sell e-Gel and/or e-Fuel on-line on your web site. Dealers that are
authorized to sell on-line are strictly prohibited from discounting
e-Gel and e-Fuel below the current published MSRP. Crank Sports
explicitly prohibits the selling of any Crank Sports product on Amazon.com, Buy.com,
Yahoo Shopping or any other on-line marketplace, and we explicitly
prohibit the uploading and/or listing of our products in the Google
Merchant Center or as Google Product Ads. In addition,
Crank Sports explicitly prohibits using the registered trademarks
e-Gel, e-Fuel, Crank Sports and any other Crank Sports trademark in
keyword advertising campaigns including but not limited to Google,
Yahoo and Bing.
- Store must cater to and
specialize in one or more sporting activity
Bike shops and running stores are the two most common dealer types,
but there are several others that would potentially qualify. We do
not authorize grocery stores, convenience stores, mail-order
houses and other discount retailers that we feel will negatively
impact our valued dealers that support the sports
industry.
- Location
Crank Sports is currently only accepting dealer applications in
the United States
- Exclusivity
While we do not enter into exclusivity agreements with our
dealers, we feel that we have an obligation to protect our
existing dealers. Therefore, we reserve the right to reject any new
dealership that we feel will have a severe negative impact on an
existing dealer.
If you become a Crank Sports
dealer you will be asked to learn about our products. Our web site
contains detailed information on our products, what they
are designed to do, why they are better than competitive products,
etc. We ask that your sales team take a moment to become familiar
with this information.
